Starting A Game
TASClient
In the upper left, there should be a "Host battle" button. When clicked, a dialogue option box appears giving you several options.
Max. number of players - This sets the maximum amount of people you want in your game. This only includes active players; you can have many more people spectating than the maximum amount of players.
Rank limit: - This is to help weed out inexperienced players. The higher the limit, the more experienced players will be allowed into the battle. For instance, if set to Average, only players with 3-stripe "average" experience or above can join.
Description: - This is shown in the lobby next to the other information such as who is hosting (you in this case) the map that is being played on, the game/mod that is being played, etc...
Mod: - This is the "game" that you will be playing. Unlike maps, this cannot be changed once you host. If you have just installed a new game/mod and it hasn't appeared on the list, there is a "Refresh mod list" button below that will find your newly installed mods.
Password: - Only enter a password if you do not want strangers entering your game. If you are playing with a friend, you might want to pm them your password, so they can join.
UDP Host Port: - Don't mess around with this unless you know what port forwarding is. It should be fine.
NAT Transversal: - This is one of the most common mistakes newbies make. If other people can not join your games, you are most likely behind a router. (the vast majority of people are) Choose Hole punching and your game should work fine from now on. (This should probably be the default, but that's just my own personal opinion. :p)
