Community news editing

To add a new newsitem, just add a new entry at the top of the community news page. You will then have to click on this link to make the update live. The news is published on the frontpage through the means of RSS, the source document can be found here for anyone interested.

The format of this might be changed in the future depending on how it turns out.. An alternative would be to have a news forum similar to the current frontpage news, but that would require moderation efforts or dedicated news posters. In this way anyone who wants can help out and remove inappropriate posts etc.. Sounds good in theory at least. :)

The first paragraph or the first 150 characters of the text, whichever is shortest, is shown under the headline.

Warning: if the 150 char limit occurs in the middle of a link, then bad things happens, such as the whole "community news" tab going blank when seen on Spring homepage.
